18 states require informed consent with a reflection period (usually 24 hours): AL, AR, GA, ID, IN (18 hours), KY, LA, MI, MO, NE, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, UT, VA, and WI


6 states require informed consent with a reflection period (usually 24-hour) and warn of the abortion-related breast cancer link: AK (in written materials), KS (in written materials), MN, MS, TX, and WV (in written materials).

 

1 state requires informed consent with a 1-hour reflection period: SC

 

 

1 state requires informed consent with a reflection period and are in effect but later enhancements to the laws in litigation or enjoined: SD (2005 law)

 

4 states have enacted laws that are in litigation or enjoined: DE, MA, MT, and TN
