End of Life

When the movement to legalize physician-assisted suicide gained steam during the 1970s, AUL’s attorneys warned that the legalization of the  morally abhorrent practice would create a continuum in which the “right to die”  would inevitably become the “duty to die.” Today, as euthanasia advocates wage a national campaign to export the practice of  physician-assisted suicide–now legal in Oregon and Washington state–to all 50 states, AUL is committed to stopping its spread and preventing the devaluation of human life.
