(09-18-14) “The Obama Administration is breaking the law by allowing abortions to be paid for under Obamacare, which expressly prohibits direct or indirect funding for abortion. Iowa Regulation of Dangerous Chemical Abortion Drugs Upheld, Protecting Women and Girls as Medical Doctors Recommend

Posted on: August 19, 2014

WASHINGTON, D.C. (08-19-14) – An Iowa trial court today upheld a rule from the Iowa Board of Medicine that regulates chemical abortion by requiring that a physician physically examine a woman before providing abortion-inducing drugs. The physician-approved regulation, which was adopted by an 8-2 vote of the Board of Medicine, would protect women from potentially dangerous misuse, such as taking the drug too late in pregnancy or during an ectopic pregnancy, by requiring an in-person exam by a physician rather than a videoconference. This practice is sometime called “telemed abortion.” “Women can die when life-ending drugs are carelessly administered,” said […]

Kagan Testimony: Extreme on Abortion

Posted on: June 29, 2010

Moments ago, responding to a line of questions from Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Kagan confirmed her belief that “Roe (v. Wade) and Doe (v. Bolton) require” that any state “regulation” of abortion protect the “health” of women seeking abortion. Kagan isolated the Supreme Court’s holding in the 2007 case, Gonzales v. Carhart—which upheld the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban of 2003 without a “health” exception—by stating that the Gonzales decision only pertained to a particular abortion procedure.
